I’m Shamim Munshi, a native Londoner and a BI Developer & Data Consultant.
I’m passionate about all things data! In my previous career as a Business Administrator, I was always looking for ways to enhance business processes, improve timeliness and ensure high-quality data capture.
A few years ago, I transitioned to the Data & Tech industry and mastered Power BI for data visualisation. Business Intelligence perfectly combined my creative skills in building data solutions with my business acumen. However, after encountering various issues with data reporting, I decided to expand my expertise. I learned to build Power Apps, automate processes using Power Automate, create chatbots and agents with Copilot Studio, and develop solutions with SharePoint and MS Fabric. These skills helped me improve data quality, ingestion, and validation, addressing many of the challenges I faced at the reporting stage.
I created this blog to inspire other data enthusiasts to look beyond reporting tools and analytics. By broadening your skillset to include both front-end (apps, forms, automation) and back-end (data engineering, SharePoint) aspects of data management, you can bring significant value to your clients and solve common issues faced by businesses and analysts.
